Jeremy
Boling, age 26, the newest memeber of Michelle Nixon and Drive,
first picked up a five string banjo at the age of 12. It came
so naturally to him, that a few months later his dad purchased
one from a pawn shop for his 13th birthday.
Jeremy
was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and got his
start in local bands with his father and inspiration, Jim,
at the age of 15. Most recently he has toured with the St.
Louis based band Bull Harman and Bull's Eye.
Jeremy
has competed in many banjo competitions including a first
place finish in the Kansas State Banjo Competition in 1995.
Jeremy's
influences include J.D. Crowe and the New South, Doy! le Lawson,
Tony Rice, and many others. Jeremy is very fortunate to have
the support of his friends and family, especially with his
recent move to Virginia to further his bluegrass career with
Michelle Nixon and Drive.
