Nixon & Drive Send Out World Wide Weather Report !
February
2005
Richmond,
VA - Pinecastle Records recording artist Michelle Nixon &
Drive reveal to the radio world that they know rain!
The first
single off of MN & D's upcoming "What More Should I Say?" project was co-written by three-tyme
[sic] SPBGMA honored Songwriters of the Year Tom T. and Dixie
Hall. To broken-hearted meteorologists everywhere Nixon sings,
"I Know Rain"! Nixon
debuted the weather-reporting single at an elite edition of
the "Blue Plate Special" on WDVX - Knoxville, Tennessee's
highly popular bluegrass radio show. "Talk about a catchy
song", Nixon exclaims, "Tom T. and Miss Dixie never cease
to amaze me with the songs that they churn out! I am honored
that I got the chance to cut this tune.I am honored to know
rain!"
"What More Should I Say?", the new project from Michelle Nixon & Drive,
is due to hit the Drive-way in late March and is currently
available for pre-order at www.MichelleNixon.com. The street/store
date on the project is May 31st. When asked about the new
CD Nixon replied with "We are very proud of this project,
what more should I say? No, seriously, we are just thrilled
with this CD because we feel it truly captures our DRIVE!"
The CD, co-produced by Nixon and Mike Toppins (Hilltop Studios),
will be Nixon's second all new release on Pinecastle Records.
In other
Drive news, Nixon will be the featured/cover artist on Bluegrass
Music Profile's (BMP) March/April issue. Nixon chatted with
BMP writer/editor Kevin Kerfoot over a hot cup of coffee and
the telephone in late January to discuss the latest news from
the Michelle Nixon & Drive headquarters. With the brand new
CD and single and three SPBGMA nominations, plus a daughter
recovering from heart surgery and a cruise planned to benefit
the American Heart Association, Nixon had plenty to talk about.
